At the beginning of the 1960s, problems began. Producers are turning to orange and apricot cultivation that brings better income and leave tomato production. This change took place at an extremely fast pace.

In 1971 a tragic event completes the continuous destruction. It is the end of an era. The Union gets into disrepute, its essential industrial operation ceases, but the staff is maintained.

In 1983, a new GM and a new Board decides on the reconstruction of the Union.

  • Improve the level of staff.
  • Upgrading the internal control mechanism.

The factory has obtained ISO 9001: 2000 Certification and implements HACCP standards. It produces over 60 product codes, both with Union trademarks and on behalf of large supermarket chains.
